Starting from the village of Levanto and crossing the promontory of Punta Mesco reaching the destination in the heart of Monterosso al Mare.
may be a continuation of the path of the Cinque Terre going through it backwards.
An easy hike in a wilderness cape and nothing short of spectacular ......... only to try to understand! Starting from the center of Levanto
climb along the coast towards the castle after it we shall climb quickly enough between crops and typical Mediterranean vegetation always with magnificent sea views of the bay.
Once you cross the street always proceeds to the right and you reach the signs indicating Punta Mesco and take the path along un piccolo albergo.
Da qui seguendo l'unico sentiero si attraversano luoghi di incomparabile bellezza tra macchia mediterranea e scogliera a picco sul mare.
Una volta giunti ad un bivio dove girando a sinistra si scende a Monterosso, si puo' proseguire raggiungendo i ruderi del Monastero di Sant'Antonio e alla lanterna militare da dove si puo' spaziare sulla costa rocciosa delle Cinque Terre.
Ritornando al bivio tralasciato in precedenza si scende a destra verso il centro paese di Monterosso dove ci si puo' riposare le "stanche membra" sulla spiaggia dominata dalla gigantesca statua del Gigante Nettuno che sostiene una conchiglia.
Escursione molto facile con un dislivello di circa 300 mt. e percorribile in 2 ore e mezza, e' consigliabile avoid it in August with the sun beating down 'cause you could "cook" literally.
